BEHIND THE STORY

ANISUR RAHMAN

Founder, Bangla Natural Agro Ltd.

WHY NAMED IKEBANA?

Inspired by Japanese Aromatherapist T.Shinohara, Ikebana started it’s official journey in 2015 with a long vision. But the seed of this dream was planted in 2007, when Anisur Rahman, the dreamer of Ikebana, was staying in Japan. At the suggestion of a Japanese friend, he named his dream Ikebana.

Ikebana is the centuries-old Japanese art of flower arranging . It is a practice that goes beyond just making something pretty; it’s about using flowers, branches, and other natural elements to create an arrangement that reflects harmony, balance, and a connection to nature.

WHY SOAP MAKING?

After completed graduation on Management from The Dhaka College Anisur Rahman joined a multinational company as marketer. But he was not satisfied with his job. He was not happy to serve another’s company! He had to build up his own business. But he didn’t know what type of business! Anisur changed jobs in several companies in a very short span of time. He got an opportunity to go to Japan to participate in a fair in 2007 for the company. Even if the participants of the fair go back to the country like any other, Anisur didn’t return. At the fair, he met Japanese Aromatherapist T.Shinohara. It would be an understatement to say just the introduction, Anisur became his fan after seeing his handmade soap. After that Anisur Rahman learned soap making from him and returned home. Ikebana begins the journey.
